What is the ACMPR?
ACMPR stands for Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations and is Health Canada’s medical cannabis program.
Why the ACMPR?
Unlike recreational cannabis which can only be sold by your provincial government-run store, the ACMPR allows a private medical marijuana compassion club, such as Canna Essence Wellness Society, to ship medical cannabis in the mail directly to its members across Canada.
How do I register for the ACMPR?
In order for Canna Essence Wellness Society to continue serving you in the future, a Health Care Practitioner will have to authorize you to use cannabis for medical purposes.
What medical conditions qualify under the ACMPR?
There are no specific conditions which would exclude you from the ACMPR. Conditions include (but are not limited to) sleep issues, mood, pain management, anxiety, appetite, arthritis, PTSD, nausea, and vomiting.
Where do I find a Health Care Practitioner?
We are partnering with a trusted medical cannabis consultation company. This company will provide access to “telemedicine” services which will allow you to consult with a Nurse Practitioner right from your home. Alternatively, you can also visit your family doctor or local cannabis clinic to complete your authorization.
Will there be a cost to enroll as a medical patient using your telemedicine portal?
No. Getting registered as a medical client using our 3rd party telemedicine portal is free! We will make an announcement when we’re ready to start onboarding patients.
What if I’m already an ACMPR client?
After our re-launch our partner clinic will transfer your registration over to Canna Essence Wellness Society at no cost to you.
I’m ready to signup under the ACMPR program, what do I do next?
Great! Canna Essence Wellness Society is in the process of re-tooling its website in preparation for legalization on October 17th 2018. In the meantime, please pre-register for our re-launch and we’ll assist you in getting setup to use our service before we re-open.
